Nickel Alloys
(Inconel®, Hastelloy®, Alloy® equivalent)
Represents a range of nickel alloys, resistant to corrosion, sometimes at high temperatures and under severe mechanical stress, freely qualified as superalloys by the metallurgical industry, containing mostly nickel, but also sometimes lower fractions of chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, manganese, aluminum, magnesium, molybdenum, silicon, zirconium and titanium, and sometimes more than traces of carbon, boron, phosphorus and sulfur.

Its fields of application are the chemical and maritime industries, plumbing fittings, industrial heating, musical instruments, etc.

NICKEL IRON ALLOY
(KOVAR®, INVAR®...)
An iron-nickel alloy is a metal alloy consisting mainly of iron and nickel. Iron and nickel alloys are often also referred to as materials that are in fact intermetallic compounds of iron and nickel, or assemblies of intermetallic compounds.

Many iron and nickel alloys are produced by the metallurgical industry and marketed owing to their mechanical, thermal or magnetic properties. The chemical industry also uses certain iron and nickel alloys for their catalytic properties.

Cupronickel
As its name suggests, CUPRONICKEL is a copper-nickel alloy with the chemical symbol CuNi.

So-called "binary" cupronickels can be distinguished from cupronickels with other ferrous elements. CuNi10Fe1Mn and CuNi30Mn1Fe are therefore among the most common grades - the numbers 10 and 30 refer here to the percentage of nickel.
